Maple Burl
Maple burl comes from soft maple trees from the Pacific Northwest region of United States and Canada. The burl can be tight interlocking patterns to widely spaced clusters with bark pockets common within the wood matrix. Color will range from light pink to darker red with 2-tone sequences common in many logs. Large high-quality logs with good sequence and large leaf dimension are rare.
