PATS Aircraft Systems (PATS), a division of DeCrane Aerospace, is pleased to announce that the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the VIP interior of the third Embraer Lineage 1000 interior completed by PATS Aircraft has been approved by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

Tailwind Capital LLC and Global Principal Finance Co., LLC are pleased to announce that their completion partner, PATS Aircraft LLC, has received US FAA Supplemental Type Certification for the Hemisphere 200XR auxiliary fuel system. The auxiliary fuel system meets all federal aviation regulations, including SFAR 88.

In our earlier Newsletter’s, we committed to keeping you up to date on our SFAR 88 Service Bulletin (SB) efforts. Since our last Newsletter, PATS has received FAA STC certification on a fully SFAR 88 compliant Auxiliary Fuel System (AFS) which has been installed on a Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft. The installation of this AFS has also allowed PATS to confirm and finalize the SFAR 88 modification solution for the Challenger SE aircraft, previously outfitted with a PATS AFS, and finalize our price estimates for these modifications.

PATS is pleased to announce that the FAA has revised the Global AMOC letter for BBJ aircraft. This revision now clearly shows that both PATS STC's ST00936NY and ST00936NY-D are affected by AD2008-22-01. The AMOC letter has also been revised to clearly show the STC configurations that are impacted by this AD.

In our first Newsletter of 2009, we committed to keeping you up to date on our SFAR 88 Service Bulletin and AMOC Approval efforts. Following is a complete status update on all of the PATS Deactivation Service Bulletins, the current BBJ AMOC Approval status for the BBJ SFAR 88 Service Bulletins, and a summary of PATS continuing support efforts for Customers to aid them in completing these modifications and/or deactivations prior to the December 2009 AD deadline.

GEORGETOWN, Del.—The FAA issued AD 2008-22-01 on October 22, 2008 and PATS Aircraft Completions, a division of DeCrane Aerospace, has submitted a service bulletin for Alternate Means of Compliance (AMOC) approval. PATS submitted its request for approval for the BBJ and BBJ2 service bulletins on November 14, 2008, and has also developed and installed SFAR 88-compliant kits for the B737 Classic fleet.
